Buying HDTV: Sony KDF-55E2000 v s Toshiba 50HP66?
I am willing to buy my first HDTV. After much deliberation and questioning, research I realized something that fit my budget ~ 2000 and my preferred size (> 50) was the Sony KDF-55E2000. Video I went to just to buy today and this guy asked me to check out the Toshiba plasma TV. Obviously, plasma TV Watch cool compared to the Sony, but I'm not sure since I can not buy find the official classifications of CNET and every time I look up plasma TV, I see Panasonic or Pioneer in the top of the list. So I know I'm not comparing apples to oranges when talking about a Sony LCD rear projection to plasma from Toshiba. However, given the fact that I get one for Sony THT ~ 1850 & Toshiba one for 2500, what do you think I should do. I'm really confused ….
I like the Sony picture better. Yes, I know that the brightness of the plasma is better in side but the Sony is more lenient with a standard signal, and a bigger screen for less money. Unless you're thinking of mounting the TV or a lot of seats on the sides, I would not consider the plasma.
