What digital SLR camera should a beginner buy?
I want to buy a digital SLR camera, but I am new to photography and don’t know much about them. Are there any websites, cameras, or advice that you can offer me?

I recommend the Canon Rebel XTi with one lens to start – the kit lens is a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, and you can get that with the camera for additional cost. They have greatly improved that lens recently. It’s perfect as a starter, with great range perfect for travel, events and even some portraiture.
